This wonderful city of Davao has been banning the use of firecrakers and fireworks since 2002, this may sound boring to most Filipinos in the Philippines especially to those who live outside of Davao, but it is actually not. Did you know that Davao City's Torotot Festival is a Guiness World of Book Records holder for the Most Number of People Blowing Party Horns Simultaneously when it was first held in December 2013? It's official number was 7,568 people beating Japan's 6,900 participants.
This December 31, 2015 Torotot Festival was Davao City's third year in doing this activity. According to reports and estimations there were between 8,000 and 10,000 people that particiapted and attended the event. Furthermore, Davao City once again achieved a zero-casualty rate related to New Year celebration and that is something the people of Davao is very proud of every year.
